Micah Legal Board of Directors

 Donnie Niehaus, Esq. // Chair

          – Donnie joined the Micah Legal Board in 2018, and has been the Chair for several years. He is an insurance defense attorney at the firm Walton Niehaus in Lexington. He is deeply involved in community service as a Board member, baseball Dad, and former Leadership Lexington member.

Joseph Ales // Treasurer

          –  Joseph has been a member of the Micah Legal board since 2017. He has a Master of Science in Accounting from Gatton College of Business and Economics at University of Kentucky. Joe works at Saint James Place Apartments, serving some of the most vulnerable Lexingtonians. He lives in Versailles with his wife, Lindsey, and her children. 

Catherine Monzingo, Esq. // Secretary

          –  Catherine joined the Board of Micah Legal in 2020. She is a family law attorney in private practice in Lexington. She became the Secretary of Micah Legal in 2021. 

Melissa Gayheart, Esq. // Member

          –  Melissa joined the Board of Micah Legal in 2020, and has served previously as Treasurer. She is an attorney in private general practice, with particular experience and interest in tax and probate matters. 

Cassi Kline // Member

          – Cassi is the newest member of the Micah Legal Board, having joined in 2026. She works for Bluegrass Care Navigators to help facilitate their fundraising.
